At the end its about making $$$ for these shops. They are keen to go low cos they hope to not just make a little from one off group buys but more in the future as well as repeat customers. Good strategy on their part, but also benefits us owners .

Anyone with good relationship with other shops can get comparative/competitive pricing on the OEM blacklines and rear M boot spoiler.. e.g. Autofuture, M sport division, auto technika etc..etc for a group buy. First question which will be ask is usually how many units? Can give them a target of say 5-7 first, and see what kinda price we can get heh.

I remember KL2DC was telling previously that a set of blacklines taillights is selling in States at USD 230 = RM 782. So... I guess over here if we really go for a sizeable group purchase & nego well, we can get it around RM 900 to RM 1,000.

I remember KL2DC was telling previously that a set of blacklines taillights is selling in States at USD 230 = RM 782. So... I guess over here if we really go for a sizeable group purchase & nego well, we can get it around RM 900 to RM 1,000.

On another note, ive noticed 2 diff types of headlights on the e90. One with clear indicators and the other with orange ones.....Maybe im naive, but could someone comment ? Mine are clear (CBU germany)..........

As far as I know, the Euro models come with clear headlights, US models come with the amber (orange) indicators within the headlights. In M'sia we get the Euro headlights as standard.

Refer to KL2DC's pics, notice that his headlights have the amber indicators as his is a US model.

My personal preference is the clear headlights that we have in M'sia

BTW, since I was quite free sitting in a hotel room and in a foreign country, I came out with some quick stats on our list of 65 members . Not sure whether it is a good representation of the M'sian market:

Model Mix: 51% drives a 320i, 46% drives a 325i.
Car Color: Black Sapphire (42%), Tiag (23%), SG (20%), Monaco Blue (9%), Artic (3%) and Alphine White (2%)

Anyhow, I do not know that there is WHITE available, otherwise I think I will go for white... Too many black ride in my family... HaHa... Evo black, Odesey black, MyV black... Aiyoh... No wonder I am having bad luck spell... Ha...

I've put in a request with the admins to sub section off the main model sections. A specific E90 (and E36, 46 etc) sub section will help keep things organized and structured. We are essentially all Special Interest Groups (SPIGs) within BMW Club Malaysia, so a sub-identity would be nice.

PS David Yong, how about designing and making a BCM E90 Special Interest Group logo/sticker? This way you all can recognize each other out on the streets and represent.
