Hi bros,Do you know where to get battery charger for the E60 and E90? Should be advanced enough to have trickle charge/maintenance mode, i.e. when charge full, slows to trickle charge so as not to overcook the battery. I have seen a few online, but my preference is to go to a shop, look at the goods first, establish the warranty procedures, and then cash and carry. Not too fond of online unless no choice. Thanks!

I've seen 1 or 2 units of this for sale in Exquisite Marque in Kota Damansara

I bought mine from eBay, works pretty well, especially if you store the car for extended period.

Dear all, since I drove my car only weekends and battery leaked almost all power during the weekdays and could't start the engine, I firstly disconnected the minus cable from battery every sunday evening. But already a month later got me a 12 V latching relay (together with the matching connector and the required contacts) from RS (http://malaysia.rs-online.com/web/) to switch off the battery minus pole completely. Later we found the reason for the quick discharging of the battery ... it was a damaged alternator which had some kind of short circuit and it had to be replaced, but the latching relay is still installed in case the car has to be stored for longer periods... then I just switch off the battery.

12V latching battery disconnector (relay) stock no. 6900808 / cost 250 MYR

The connectors I bought 2 pcs (in case I break one) and as they came without the contacts (very stupide) had to oder a strip of 10pcs (set of) contacts stock no. 7174307 / cost 9.80 MYR

greetz from Hardi

PS. the latching relay operates by two pushbuttons (ON and OFF) ... it remains (latches) in the selected position without using then any current from the battery !!

Hi bro alxy...
u mean portable battery charger...
Or shop that do battery charging and selling battery...

Did you get a cigarette lighter adapter with yours? That's what I use on my Porsche and it is very easy to use - you don't have to lift the hood. The only thing is that you need to ensure that your lighter outlet is live with the key off. Otherwise it won't charge.
