AT change for f30

Hi planning to change my atf on my comming service on 16000 km. Anyone has done it? I plan to do it on my own cost just wondering if the SC willing to do so. Cos heart that the atf is lifetime but I don't believe. Mine is a 328i m sport.

Yes maybe not lifetime but I think 16,000 is too low? Maybe around 50,000 is more like it. Only my opinion, let's hear what others say.

50k-60k sounds about right for ATF change.

16k is overly conservative. I would suggest 50-60k. However, it's up to you. If money is not an issue then you can change your ATF at shorter interval.

Agreed with the rest, last time i was doing this for my E36 and E46 and no problem with my gearbox

If I recall correctly - ATF change by BSRI standards is ...... never ie lifetime no change.
Appreciate any updates - hopefully I'm wrong

My car (E39) had its first gb oil change at 290k kms along with a GB overhaul just 2-3 months ago. Maybe that can be considered a lifetime hehehehehe

That's correct. Use ATF until the GB kaput or car condemn then only change. Hahaha you believe? I know I don't.

Change at third party workshops lah. SC will tell you its lifetime unless you kamcheng with the SAs

50K is a fair call. i did mind at 50 though i think i could have pushed it to 70

before change it, get the correct oil and filter first and also change the diff oil too, change it every 80k-100k.

Change mine at 53000KM. Everything is fine after driving about 2 weeks.
