Hi ALL,Can i start a thread, asking for the better places to do wheel balancing or alignment?? Donwan to send to those half baked tyre shops, who will insist to correct the -ve cambers that exists on E34s. Pls help1.

Please do a search first. This has been covered before.

Hi 3er,

Found the older thread, but it only lists 4 locations. So i tot i start a new one to see if any recommended places to go to.

Thnx.

4 only??
Ok. I think i posted there before so my thoughts still stand on those i listed.

I have visited one in TTDI... he is a decent guy I think... gives good sound advice... its on the same row of pizza hut... shop is on da other end with dunlop sign...His name is, long...gharges are decent in comparision wid lim tyre...

5201, try Tire Town near your office - look for Roland, tell him Ah Long aka Hwang from Fastgrow recommended you there.

I recently found another good place, near Zoggee's place in Puchong. The old man do the alignment himself using a German alignment machine. He is very careful when doing the job - ex-Audi mechanic so he does things the German way! Zoggee knows where it is.

Try Munji from MPS auto in Sunway. The chap is a legend. Can call him at 019-221-7623. He setup my GTV perfectly for track day as there was barely any damage to the tyre after hours of bashing and that was some serious bashing. The wear was uniform etc.......

yeah covered before...my vote still for Ah Wah at consistent distinction of old klang road

Yes...I vouch for MPS as well. Very good service and they get the job done right first time. No second visit required.

bmky, Kahar,

Apa macam kawan-kawan sakalian? Ada baik?

Just wanted to know where exactly is MPS in Sunway?

Mine need balancing but on wheel. Car vibrate between 140km/h to 160km/h. After that, seems to be OK. Was told to get on-wheel balancing instead of normal balancing. Can MPS do it? Any idea how much?

Cheers

I had the same problem! Mine is also E34 525i. At first tot it was balancing. Did onwheel, same thing - shaking at 130kph onwards. Then I tot it was long shaft. When the car was hoisted up, found the inner part of the rear tyres were very very very badly worn - can see the internals!

After changing the rear tyres - smooth! No more shaking upto 160kph & above!!!

Well you are in luck. Assuning your rim is not bent, your problem can be solved at MPS. now as to where is it, it around the shoplots in front of Kampung Lindungan, facing the NPE. There is a shell station there as a landmark. If you are coming from the LDP towards puchong, you can turn left into the residential area after the last flyover befor the Sunway Toll plaza.

BMKY,

Kahar already given me the direction. Thanks anyway.

The wheel balancing and on wheel balancing did solved my problem. Tested this moring as North South Highway. Happy with it. But on the other hand, was told by Munji that the rims are dented and the rear tyre are wear are uneven. Advised me to change and repair the rims. But after giving the quotation, I told them I will come back. He ..He... He...

Anyway, there are professional. I am looking around for better options(cheaper) before deciding whether go back to them.

Cheers
