Hi experts,I've changed my tyres a month back for my E46 325 but somehow, the alignment still "lari" a bit. Don't plan to go back to the previous shop coz I think they did a crappy job.I went to another shop who does Michelin tyre in Puchong last weekend and the owner mentioned that it is normal for BMWs to swerve to the left a bit. I was like "Huh?????" How can that be???? Our conversation ended not long after that.Appreciate the experts here to advise on a good place to do my alignment. FYI, I live in Puchong and somewhere in the vicinity would be perfect. Thanks for the help.Cheers all!

You should try Speedline at Kota Damansara..they did a good job. But need to come early as the shop always cramped with cars

Try " Utama Tayar Dan Bateri service " at Uptown . Fronting LDP , with KUMHO LOGO On sign Board . shop been around for 30years .
Call ANDY 012-6618573 . ( friendly shop owner )

Lim Tayar at Taman Tun. Call before you go 03-7727 7377. Ask for Marcus.

I think the shop is right, BMW alignemnt tend to be a little to the left.

I vote for MPS. Look for Manji.

May cost u a little extra from others, E46 325 allignment + balancing + on wheel balancing, full package including all the tax is RM200, but to me, it worth the money. NOt only their the result but also they way they handle my car. You wont see the employee lean or put their hands on the car or what so over. It's the only shop which I don't feel the necessity to monitor what they do on my car.

Wei! Fadhlan! Ampang no tyre shop meh?! Must come to my territory and never ajak me yum cha?!

Standard BMW equipment having different left/right camber settings due to accommodating road contour which is designed for water to flow away from the central of the road. So on a perfectly flat and even road, car will swerve left by little bit. U can ask the tyre shop to ignore the setting and adjust according to your specification. Tyre shop can only give u generic settings but driver's profile are never generic. Only u know what is good for your driving habit. An experience tyre sifu can tell a lot of driver's profile from brake how hard, corner how fast etc, base on tyre wear alone. There's no one ideal setting for all. Sweet cornering setting will promote uneven wear. Even wear tyre setting make the car turn like crab!

Do u know what u want?

I usually sent my car to Tai Soon Tyres opposite Pasar Besar Gombak. The last time i did the alignment and balancing for my accord was a year ago and the car still drives perfect - Both alignment & balancing.

They are old skool, ruler and chalk. No digital alignment machine. Make sure you come with a second car because it'll take ages to finish. Sent my car at 5pm, 9pm baru siap. BTW, they are close on Sunday.

tai soon gombak's good... but i wonder if they can do newer cars with Active Steering

Summary:

1. Speedline at Kota Damansara
2. Utama Tayar Dan Bateri Service at Uptown
3. Lim Tayar at Taman Tun, Marcus
4. MPS Auto, Manji
5. Tai Soon Tyres opposite Pasar Besar Gombak

6. Kim Heng Tyreat Bandar Sunway - He uses Hunter diagnostic equipment. Even Cycle Carriage folks send their cars to him - Ah Keong (he's the Boss)

Hi all,

Thank you for all the good advices and suggestions.

Cheers

i did mine (alignment, camber adjustment and on wheel balancing) at Shah Alam Tyres and surprisingly my E39 can easily reach 20xkmh on LPT without much hassle, on my way back to ktn..
