Advice on swaping engine faulty M40B18

My engine is koyak liao so thinking of swaping my engine. Basically if want to buy halfcut and change engine that can be endorse by jpj what are the choices i have.here are some of the choices im thinking but not sure for the halfcut price.M42B18M50B20if i not mistaken we cant legally convert to 2.5 since its over 500cc. Since my engine is M40B18 if i swap with M42 or M43 can i just buy engine kosong? I doubt M50 engine kosong will fit so i presume i need to buy halfcutLastly how much would it cost to overhaul my engine?Lastly where is a good place to buy these engines? halfcut/engine kosong. Im staying in KL area.

I got a friend selling m40 engine cheap cheap. Interested let me know.

M42 swap is probably more cost efficient as u can use back many parts such as gearbox, radiator, fan, diff, shaft. M50 conversion will require more parts and of course $$$. So depends how much you willing to spend.

M42 and M43 engine are compatible with M40 engine.

However, for M43 engine, you have to ensure that the following is available as well
1. ECU and EWS
2. AFM
3. Wiring Harness.

The market price for M43 engine is about RM1.5K to 1.8K.

If you are lucky, you might get it cheaper with everything included when other have transplant bigger engine.

Thanks bro. sounds that the pricing is quite good. If i were to buy from another owner his engine, how do i endorse jpj since there is no custom papers?
