Dear Bimmers,My loan has been approved by Public Bank... considering my car is a recon and the bank offered me 3.55%... I think that it's a catch! Now I am waiting for the result of my number plate bidding :DFYI, I will be driving my car for a month without touching anything inside.. since the warranty given by Beemer is one (1) month. After that, I am thinking of upgrading the sport rims to 19" from my current 18" M-Sport rim. Actually I was thinking either Hamann or Breyton rims, as both have quite nice designs. So, here are the questions...1) Does anyone know any tyre shop that accept trade-in for both 18" M-Sport and run-flat tyres, while offering a competitive rate on tyres? I would prefer if the shop is somewhere in PJ, Subang or Sunway area... 2) My friend told me that both tyres and rims are connected to the ECU. Is it true? Will changing the rims affect the ECU? Does the ECU have to be set back to default settings? Does the tyre shop has this kind of equipment?3) My friend told me that the Japanese tyres are less durable compared to the likes of Continental, Pirelli and Michelin... as the former normally last about 20000-25000km whereas the latter manages more than 35000-40000km. Any point of view?Thanks a lot...Leo - another proud Bimmer in the making

welcome bro

let me try on this
item no 1 :- try looking out at sunway ... there are lotsa shops with lotsa rims there ..Motorsport Division is one of it and many more

item no 2 :- nope i don't think so

item no 3 :- well tyre wear depends on your tyre grade and so on ... soft compound ( wet weather )or hard compound ( all weather ), and also depends on your driving style too ... in order to go further make sure you rotate your tyres accordingly...

bro...tats weird. my loan is at 2.27% given by public bank too on 2007 september. how many year of loan u took? item 3 is truth as mine is fitted with japan tyres(pirelli) too since mine is recon. last me for only 4-5months then i change it to michellin. cost me RM2.8k for 4pieces of new tyres. now all back to quiet as compare to the previous fitted japan tyres (noisy and aint durable).

I've seen so many traffic police on the road lately... like u said, sudah dekat raya... must be hardworking to earn money.. lol! Normal times never see them so hardworking pulak... sigh... crime rate increasing!
Nah... I don't think that they are so efficient... internal affairs problem pun belum siap lagi...

Agree with you bro... even my partner who bought a new Honda Odyssey was offered 3.7% by most banks... I think it's the power of networking. Luckily my company has done a lot of business transactions with Public Bank.
