Hi all sifu,i'm sorry if this topic had been discussed long time ago... i'm going to change the tyre for my 525, and my rim is 18". any recommended tyre from you guys sifu?previously i was using 16" michelin pilot preceda for my e46, and i felt like driving a boat when raining... the tyres are terrible on wet road... how about pilot sport? or potenza re505?thank you for your advise...

Hi,

From my Experience if you compare Dunlop Direza 101 with Michelin Sport PS2, Michelin Sport PS2 is much much better. You can travel at 140 Km/h during heavy rain with no problem. But with Direza you will be chicken out to drive even at 100 KM/h during rainy day. That is why Michelin Sport PS2 is voted no.1 best tyre in the world. Please check the Tire rack website for more info. Why not settle for Continental sport conti since it performs well too.

However, it cost me RM5000 for the complete set of 285/35/R19 and 275/40/R19 (M5 spec) when I trade in with 4 months old Direza tyres. You can call Ah Hong 012 325 4774 at Chin Heng tyre Klang to get the best deal.

cheers.

thank you for your info... btw, i'm currently using dunlop sp spot maxx, and it's quite ok... and i'm now looking for better grip tyre instead of comfortable...

i'm using Michelin Pilot Preceda 2, no complaint at all; but just very pricey, cost about 1300/ pc for 18/245/40

Heard Toyo Proxes is quite good, may think to change that for next tyre change
