Just came back from the chop shop.

They are able to transplant a M50B25 24V single Vanos with a Jatco tranny incl long shaft and rear diff for 10k. Also incl front and rear suspensions. Price includes workmanship and paperwork. What do you guys think?

There goes my "keep it original" idea

Can you tell me which chop shop u went to and address pls? How do you find their workmanship OK or not? would u recommend them?

Well it sounds simple but actually the 8k spent is also for a lot of other things not related to a transplant. Besides when quoted 10k it's very seldon the final figure

Capkel, Do you want a chip upgrade to a performance chip?
It is quite simple, I have change mine.
It should bring the power from 170hp to 190hp matching to the M50 engine. Can supply to you if interested.
A full afm rebuild is quite simple and should idle smooth from the first start.
I have the readout to do so.

Finally it's out from the paint shop.

I like the paint job. Unfortunately they messed up the installation of the front windscreen and they have to redo it later.

Now I am having the interior fitted with new roof linings and coverings for the A and C pillars as well. All for Rm300. I found it reasonable. Some place quoted me Rm500 just for the roof.

Oh yah, I had the water pump replaced because as soon as I got the car out from the paint shop, the temp started to rise abnormally so I straight away drove it to my mechanic down the road and had it replaced for RM230 incl labour.
