523 remote control

Hi, got my cbu 2000 523 a month ago. Happy with my machine so far except for the remote control for the door and alarm. The remote refuse to function in the presence of other BMWs of other luxury continental car which uses the wireless key entry. At a function in Putrajaya last night another chap with a landrover have problem starting the car. I could start the car with the alarm blaring after manually opening the door but not able to open the door using remote. I drove off from Putrajaya and find that everything was OK.I heard that the remote also will not work in heavily congested phone network or wireless area. It happen to me both time in Pricint 8 Putrajaya.Anybody there having similar experience?. Please share. Now Im scared to use my remote to lock the door for fear of embarrassment when having to drive the car away with alarm blarring
