hie guys i ve got my new 320i e90 just a week old i realized that after the speed 100 the left tire vibrates/wobbles alot. its running run flat tyres, so just to clear my doubt i asked my few friends to drive and all of them said the same thing the left tires its a bit shaky at high speed, i brought to AB glenmarie got it checked and they said it is perfectly fine.. im really not happy with it cos there is no more the ultimate driving pleasure feeling, i just tend to get annoyed , everytime i speed it vibrates. do u guys know any good tyre shop so dat i can give a check on it..

First of all, congrats on getting your new ride. You may want to just check the tire pressure and make sure it's inflated to BMW's recommended PSI. New cars tend to come with over-inflated tyres which could be a cause for your problems.

How did you find out its the left tyre which vibrates/wobbles while you are driving?

Anyway, after 1 week after I took delivery of my car, I noticed there were scratch marks on the sidewalls of the RFTs. AB glenmarie replaced the 2 affected tyres for me although tyres are not officially under warranty. So get the tyres replaced.

Roberto,

Normally if the balancing is out, you will feel it around 100kph. Check the balancing, check for the weights on the wheels.

Btw, I reckon yours is brand new...not pre-owned. There is no reason why there should be any vibration at all at that speed. You better get it checked at a tyre shop. My past experience, the service centers are absolutely hopeless when it comes to balancing and alignment.

My 2 dinar...

I would guess it's caused by an unbalanced wheel as well, have it checked out...

mine is a pre register & have the same problem also. Complain At AB sg.besi & my car was sent to a tyres shop to do the wheel balancing & aligment. Waited for an hour at the showroom. Actually i have asked the service manager that why don't you do it at the AB service center?? Surprisingly he told me that, he don't trust his boy for the wheel balancing also. Anyway i don't like the RFT tyres ride also, trade in the wheels few days later for rm2800.

thanks guys for ur reply, regarding the left tire im very sure the left one is cos, at the speed above 100kmh can feel just the left side of car is vibrating.n front only n also can feel it in the steering it self. ab in glenmarie have checker the pressure thay said it is perfectly fine. so im gona fing a nice tyre shop n check the tyres again.

The car is designed to take on well above 200kph and none of us have felt vibration or wobbles on the steering at 100kph or even 200kph. Its not normal, how can AB Glenmarie brush u off like that?

I had wobbly steering at about 60kph... and strong pulling to the left on the highway, days after gotten the new E90 320i. After returning from the outstation trip, I brought it back to the SC and complaint. Their too 2 hours to rectify the problem, it is okay till now. FOC!

I hv this problem when I pick up mine as well but can't remember is left or right. Solved right after alignment. The best thing is my tire pressure is 48psi when the car delivered!:stupid:

Yeah, it is always recommended to check the tyres pressure whenever you take delivery of a new car.
