Hey guys. Just wanna double check. I just replaced my ball joints for my front driveshaft and some bushings here and there. However when i wanted to do my alignment, the shop said that it cannot be done cos my tire is wobbly and this is due to the ball joint being wobbly. When i checked back with the workshop, he said that e36 1995-97 have this characteristic. Meaning the ball joint allows for a little free play. IS this true? Or is the shop just telling me this? He said if i dont believe him i can check with AB. How to check? Simply call and say what?

i think ur mechanic is bullshitting you man, where got such thing as e36 ball joint has the characteristic of being woobly,my suggestion is go to other workshop for advice and since you just replace your stuffs,i suppose there is still warranty for it,at least from the workshop u changed it from.

yeah only dumb ass mechanic would say such thing:stupid:.btw did u watch him change the ball joint or u just leave ur car @ the workshop for the work and come later?

i left the car there but i checked it after at the tire shop. The parts were also verified by the tire shop as being new. The bushing i replaced seemed to be ok, just the ball joint has a bit of free play. I was wondering, is there any way for me to verify these kinda things with AB. Maybe their technical department or something.
