320d M Sport... weird noise during light throttle.

Hi all,

Just got my ride 2 days ago..
Notice some weird noise during light throttle... and this normally happens when its below 2000RPM or after standstill or hill climb.
It sounds like "catalytic chains" vibrating when u tap on the accelerator...
Once its above 2300 RPM... its gone ( back to normal diesel engine noise )

Is this normal for diesel cars?

Pls advice.

As far as i know, It is normal.

Its only noticeable when you off your radio....

Don't get it on mine but I do hear some rattling sound from the rear doors when going on uneven roads or potholes. Any bros have heard the same sound from the doors?

Mine just started after a year of ownership and its coming from the driver's door and I thought it was the lock pin like other bros mention but when I hold it while going over uneven roads, the sound is still there so I doubt that's the case. Will ask the dealer to check it out during the next service since the sound isn't there all the time yet.

Bro, I thought you just received the spanking new car a couple of weeks back, has it even reach 1000km? Surprising already hearing some rattling sound

what noise?? i can notice only a whirring sound in that range.. which is the turbo spooling sound..

Yes bro, it is only 2 weeks old and I get this irritating noise from the door when i go over bumps or pot-holed roads. On normal good roads it is perfectly fine

Check the alternator one-way bearing. Maybe dead liao.

Same case as mine. But mine rattling from both left and right side. Really really annoying sound.

Yup.. I get it on both my left and right side too.. am sending it in to the SC on Thursday for them to fix it.. hopefully they know how to fix it cos BMW Voice told me it is a common occurence.. hahaha!! Damn irritating noise!!
