I have a 1994 318 convertible that has had a problem with the battery discharging randomly overnight. This problem has been going on for a while. Now the injectors don't seem to be firing. I disconnected injector 1 and checked for voltage, before I turned over the engine I had about 7volts, when I turned it over the voltage dropped to 0 and the engine tried to fire off. If you plug back in the injector the engine ceases to get fuel again. I'm wondering if the battery discharge and the injector problem are related, and what is the injector problem? I'm very confused!!!!!!

I know your supposed to use noid lights to test injector circuits but I just wanted to see if I had any pulse at all. I know I fuel to the fuel rail, I know I have fire. So I thought it must be an injector problem. The strange thing is, after I disconnect the 1st injector and try to crank, the engine responds. but once I reconnect the injector I get nothing.

maybe it could be the back current from F-31 in the instrument cluster flow back to the EGS
and DME ? ? ?for long period of duration.....? or the grounded TXD in the bridge cap?
