It is different from enet cable. But a good base to modify and make it enet.. Do you use the cable much anyway?

I ve visited a workshop to do the torque and horsepower dial on my idrive
wired up the car with computer and the tech fiddle with 2-3 iphones and ipad to look for cheat codes etc etc
only to find my car does not come with the module but however can set digital speedometer which I declined.

What car/model/year do you have? why not possible? interested to know.

Bro, that is overkill. We don't need that much wire and too long may hurt signal integrity.. Go with the ebay one, free shipping sumore. Cheers

The cable is very important - if you can, try to at least get CAT5E or CAT 6. In some instance, you may even need to ground onto RJ45.
1) Get the Ebay 16pin OBDII.
2) Buy a proper CAT5E/6 network cable in the T568A configuration (no more than 3 metres)
3) Snip off one end of the Network Cable and solder on OBDII plug
4) 510 ohms resistors 1/4 or 1/2 watts are available in most electronic stores.

Anybody managed to download the software? I can make the cables but the process of downloading all the files using Unifi is excruciating. Would be very grateful if I could copy the files from any of the guys that has better bandwidth?
