better check the wheel balance and suspension cuz the 328i can do better than that.mine does 240kph no probs,and it was rock steady.hell,she does 220kph in 4th!! only thing i didn't like was the steering feel,a common trait among E46s.

1. e90 325i

2. 3,000cc N52 US-spec engine (essentially a detuned 330i engine)
note: 325i and 330i differ in intake and software (330i-255hp)

3. manufacturer- 215hp, no dyno figures but step absorbs a lot of hp.

4. BMW speed limited to 130mph - Some B.S. thing to match top speed
to OEM supplied tire rating. Car cuts off at speedo indicated 136mph. shhhh.

5. No engine mod...not enough aftermarket parts out there yet. Various intakes and cat back does not show results and no software out yet.

231 as a lot for a 1.6..kudos to Honda.i hope you had the brakes to back up that speed cuz standard Honda brakes are notoriously undernourished.

mine is a standard M40 1990 E30 only 1.8cc and manage to top at 190km/h on gutherie highway...just wish it went the extra 10km/h.....sigh

It was a B16A VTEC engine with 1.8 differential. Valve springs were changed to competition. Brakes was upgraded. That was like 4.5 years back. Couldnt believe it as well. 3 ppl in the car - i was the driver. My friend, owner of the car was just speechless that the 1.6L can push up to 231km/h

Oh another thing. 215km/h top speed achievement on my N42 is on 18" on the analogue meter. So dont know what is the actual speed reading is.....

one thing that has became obvious to me of late.. since i started driving my STi,i've been tailgated by more Hondas than any other types.fiesty little fellas..
maybe cuz its so easy to drive fast that these Honda guys seemed to think that they can take on anything on the roads.

I've done a max of 235 kmh in my 192 bhp E46 325i but I'm beginning to feel that the getting there ain't fast enough. Dunno if the E90 325i is any better.
