WTB - E60 530D vs E39 530i

Hi.

Im eyeing on E60 530D (1st priority) and E39 530/540i(2nd prior)
.
Unfortunately there's only 2 530D listed on mudah under my +-65K budget:

1) Anyone here planning to sell of their 530D?
I know if i can get it from the ethuthiast here, the car might be under a good car by the owner.

2) The one listed at mudah priced at RM66500(Mfg 2004) really caught my intention, but the mileage already reached 200k and the car history is unknown. Will call for a test drive later.

3) as for E39, I was recommended by a workshop that of his customer is planning to sell his E39 530i. As i know this formen personally, he explained that this car was taken a good care by the owner. Priced at 50k (1999) with many wear&tear parts replaced & upgrade was done for both interior and exterior. Engine was replaced totally in 2009.

Need advice, Should i choose the UNKNOWN 530D or KNOWN&WellMaintained E39 530i instead?

i am assuming that e39 had gone thru a full conversion to 530i from its original model in 2009, because there were no 530i yet in 1999.


And for a 11 years old car, 200k is not so bad. Some 'low mileage' car had their mileage tempered already, so be wary of that too. Just met a guy who was happy that he bought his 2002 525i at 90+k kms, when i scanned his car it was already 260+k kms actually.

My 2003 530i e39 is already at 330k kms.

e60 yg murah2.... memang kene masuk modal banyak... sesuai dgn harga murah nye tu...
base on my personal experience when looking for my self...

e60 parts not cheap .... even kedai potong parts

Nothing can be better than the original irregardless how good the workshop or the mechanic did no the conversion. Having said that, be prepared to put aside at least RM 15 k whether you choose to go for the e39 or the e60.
