the e39 is equipped with an anti trap facility where all the the window winds down if anything gets trapped between the window and the frame(head.arm,leg maybe).i know this from reading the manual.i have always assumed that the window winds down when the window elect motor senses a load and that the elect motor reverses it's direction. but not in how the e39 is designed. see the pics.....there is a strip that runs along the window upper frame.this is the sensor that reverses the window motor and brings the window back down if "something" is pressed onto it.........try it......
