Very good question. I have met naharnms and saw the car already at the end i didnt buy his car. I dont know how to differentiate 525 and 523 but i know 525 was started build in year 2000 which stated in Wiki.

1995-1998: M52 Single Vanos

1998-2000: M52TU Double Vanos
