Hi guys,Am slowly considering / toying with the idea of getting the above formentioned car. For a 2000 Unregistered one UK spec, a car dealer quoted me about RM180k (but should be able to knock it down a lil bit more). Is it a good idea to buy a unregistered car? I believe it means that the car was used somewhere else and then imported into malaysia then sold as unregistered correct? Any problems with buying unregistered cars? Or would you all recommend I go the private route? They can trade in my current car that's why I was hoping to go through dealers. How much would you all pay for a specimen like that (unfortunately I don't have milleage and VIN for you guys)Regards,Stan

Hey Stan,

great to know u're looking for a Ci too.

i think it really doesn't matter whether u're getting the Ci from a dealer or a private owner. most important is the condition of the car.

i'd advise u to pay Naza a visit and check out their Ci's. as their cars are almost brand new, cars there will give u a good benchmark on the condition of the cars that u'll be comparing with when u go hunting outside.

i had a hard time looking for a decent one a few month ago and finally found one at a dealer's place after looking at over 15 others.

u may have a better chance finding one through dealers as there're not many owners selling their cars when i was looking for mine.

RM180k seems to be a good price for a 323ci. Price for a 2000 model ranges from RM180K - RM190K

and if u can, try to bring someone who knows about beemers along with u. and once u've found the car that u most likely would buy, bring it to a beemer specialist to have it thoroughly checked.

happy hunting man!!

dude 323ci for 180k.... :getyourfactsright: ...dude just bought my 328ci2000.....178k unreg ..if u r interested pm me.will give you my salesman no...very happy wit my car. i think he still has 2units left.. peace

hey guys ,

need to know what's the different between 325 ci and 325 i beside 2 n 4 doors , any difference in performance ?
am planing to get a 325 ci , been hunting for it but is not many in town .

Handling is better due to Structure Rigid of the 2 door.

u get to put the cool LED Rear Lights,

u get to a lot M3 lookalike mods.

and future to upgrade to Full Blown M Power!

thanks for the info ace99

over the weekend, found a 323ci year 2000 UK spec unreg. at imbi car dealer.
asking for 195K and i think is abit Hi .

what u guys think ???

can't wait anymore man........

dude...since there is not many ci around town..mostly 318ci...my advice is to wait patiently...cos in the end u would like to find a problem free car with cheap price...i think the government have to resolve the ap issue b4 all these cars get into showroom...just found out that a car dealer has ceased operation at jln imbi ...rumours said that kastam ppl drove away 10 cars all above 200k...so beware guys when u buy cars!!

yeah Marco ,

will try my best to be patient ...

maybe will try talk to the dealer and c how much he can bring down the $ .

heh .. how much u think i should ask for ?

i help a fren to get a 323ci a year ago..he pay 198k for a year 2000 car..comes with sunroof n 17 inches rim..but amber lights...i think 180k to 185k is the price to pay....since it is not a wired by throttle version!!cheers..will look out for u if i see any 323ci or 325 ci!!

hey guys ,

is so difficult to find a 325 ci ,
maybe i should open my option to 328 ci as well.

do you all think the maintenance going to be alot different for the 2 spec.

and wats the cost different for the road tax.

cheers

Hey Ray, yeah gotto agree with u that it can be quite frustrating looking for one especially one that's in good condition.

not sure about the maintenance of a 328ci but i reckon there will be relatively higher fuel consumption and much higher roadtax.

if i'm not wrong, the roadtax for a 2.8 engine is about twice the 2.5. So u may be looking at RM1600 per year.

like u, i too opened my options to the 328 after weeks and weeks of searching in vain for a 323/325ci but fortunately found a 323 that was in good shape.

like Marco said, i'd advise u to be really patient man. can understand the eagerness.....but u too would like to make a good choice in the end.

PM me if u need some contacts to some of the dealers i once contacted

:) guys..fuel consumption won't be much of a difference btween 2.8 and 2.5..but the amount of extra torque u get wud be worth it.if u can afford a rm180k car,a rm1600 roadtax shudn't be much burden to u.

beendriving a 2.8 for a while now and loving every torque laden minute of it.its a much more relaxed drive without having to rev it for u to go fast.. :nyehehe:
