this is going to be challenging, best bet would be checking the Vin number and compare to a car that is within the same batch. If yours is a local spec, I believe your Vin should starts with BZ xxxxx.

I just checked my labels. My door label is black and fuel label is white. VIN number is BR 6910x and is local AB CKD specs.

I'm checking with a friend in the UK to see if BMW UK has one of those black stickers. If they can't supply it, I think I'll just put the white one on my car.....

Meanwhile, anyone has contacts in BMW Malaysia? Was thinking of contacting them to get some info on this random label issue...LOL!

Just checked my colleague's 520i, 2003, AB CKD model.

Black tire pressure label on driver's door, white fuel label on fuel flap.

Looks like BMW really put these labels on quite randomly!

Mine is Indonesian CKD, 2003 520i, Black Label.
I did not even notice the label's existence if not for this thread!.
I guess the feeling is like that of an itch that can't be exactly reached.........

Thanks for all the tips. Just came back from the UK and saw all the responses. It's good to have so many BMW bro's helping out!

While I was in the UK I managed to pay a visit to a local BMW dealer there..apparently there are two types of labels for the fuel warning - white and black.

White one is Part No. 71212122599b
Black one is Part No. 71212122599

Both were used on the E39, with some units receiving the white label, others receiving the black one.

Just one last confirmation before I decide which sticker to put on my car...

Is there anyone out there with a 03/2003 or newer AB CKD E39 with a white fuel warning label on their car?
