Dear all sifus out there,

Trying different pressure for my set up. I'm currently running on Michelin Pilot Sport 3 non RFTs for my 2009 E90 325i M Sport

Fronts: 225/40/R18 Y, pressure at 250 kpa
Rears: 255/35/R18 Y, pressure at 290 kpa

May I know how often we need to monitor or tyre pressure and also what is your best set up so for for a comfortable ride without compromising handling.

Thanks in advance :)

i run at the recommended setting:
front 245/40/18 : 220kpa
rear 275/35/18 : 230 kpa

tyre pressure to check weekly and the best setting is the recommended setting as suggested by the manufacturer.however you can always experiment with the pressure that suits you best

Michelin PS3, non RFT
Front 225/40/18 > 240
Rear 255/35/18 > 270

Consider comfort for my daily ride.

GY F1 Assy 2, non eft

Front 235/35/19 > 240/250
Rear 265/30/19 > 260/270

Lower pressures in the city.
Seems ok for me.

Day-to-day driving from PJ to Cyberjaya
Good Year F1 Assy 2, non RFT
Front 235/35/19 = 32 PSI (when tyres are cold)
Rear 265/30/19 = 34 PSI (when tyres are cold)

Sepang Track Driving
Toyo R1R, non RFT
Front 225/45/17 = 28 PSI (when tyres are cold)
Rear 255/40/17 = 29 PSI (when tyres are cold)

Michelin PSS
Front 235/35/19 = 37 PSI
Rear 265/35/19 = 37 PSI

Conti Don't know what model definitely not the CS range

Rear 39
Front 35

I used/use the foillowing:

Continental CSC5
Front: 225/40R18 @ 33 psi
Rear: 255/35R18 @ 38 psi

Michelin PSS
Front: 225/40R18 @ 32 psi
Rear: 255/35R18 @ 35 psi

Adjust according to how you feel when driving the car. All pressures are when tyres are cold.

Hi Mavik, out of curiosity, isn't 28/29 psi a tad too low? Is there any reason for that?

Once on the track after a couple of laps, the air will expand and can increase by about 8-10psi. So if I start with 38psi cold, I had times when I lost grip and checked the air pressure which was around 44psi at the time.

bridgestone s001
front 225/45R17 210kPa
rear 225/45R17 240kPa

Hi, I drive a 2011 325i M sport. Based on the sticker at the door, the recommended tire pressure is as below,

Fronts: 225/40/R18 Y, pressure at 250 kpa
Rears: 255/35/R18 Y, pressure at 300 kpa

This translates to 36psi front and 43psi back! Is this too high?

The tyre shop only pumped 34psi all around...

I think 43psi too high especially for our road conditions. Will be even more jarring if on RFT.

I pumped 36psi all round on non-RFT (Michelin PS3).

I follow the door label + 10kpa. Using PS3 225/45R17.. Wife use the car 99% of the time..

i use 35 psi both front and back 225/40 and 255/35/18
then later make some adjustments to the rear tyre pressure based on feel from the car
