I have always seen this in the ads, confused with its meaning (M) manual (A)Automatic (B)Bothand the you the Tiptronic and the Shiftronic what do they mean, sorry a greenhorn questionI am confused with the (B) Both

My guess is

M for Manual

A for Automatic

B Both for Steptronic - loose term

You know what steptonic means? Its basically an autobox with some control of what gears you want to be in. BMW uses the term Steptronic, some other companies called it Tiptronic, but essentially the same thing. Normally have a + and - on the gear stick.

Normal automatic gear:

(A) is just auto... (B) is just another marketing gimmick to attract eye balls. Its either M for manual or A for auto.
