I'm destined to be with water...I parked my ride in an open space for hours. Heavy downpour today & past few days too. IJRT, my ride is wet inside!! Okie, the wet area is....1. Front passenger seat (only the seating area)2. Rear passenger foot rest area; both sides (the seats are fine, no traces of water at all)All doors are dry in, out & side. No matter what, I think I need to get it fixed. Could be d#*m complicating. My conclusion could be from the rear bonnet. Can't be from top or front or bottom of car after evaluating the above "wet areas".Anyone could help out? What can be done to rectify this?Aiyo...me really pening liao la....

uh oh... your firewall is leaking man...
better to take remove the carpets (since you ave to dry them out and look for holes... this is not funny man...

Holes?? I believe in no rusts as it's galvanized....hope could be a worn out weather/rubber strip at bonnet...

I'm freaking out now ah lian!

no need to freak out lar, take out the carpets and see lor... dry them nicely, else the damp smell will linger fo darn long a time.... yucks!!

On an E46, I find that there is no way for water that entered thru front camn end up in the rear foot well. What I found was that the rain water runs between the door and the car structure (especially the door post) and enters into the cabin between the bottom of the door and the door opening. It goe sunder the carpet that is why you wont see it coming in.

How do you fix this problem, saat?

Hmmmm, front passenger seat leaking? Are you sure your passenger did not p*ss on the seat?

Ok, seriously.... funny to have the front seat wet.... perhaps the water had entered via the left front door? I had a slight leaking problem at the front passenger area too. My door rubber seal had disintegrated at the top, letting water in during very heavy downpours. Maybe yours is the same. I am gonna have to change the rubbers soon. :(

I suspect rubbers too. Hope it's not a "hole"!

Is there a way to really check the source where the water came from?

One way.... sit in the car and get someone to spray water (lots of it) on the car. Observe for water leaks. This was how I caught my leak.

Another way.... do the same but when it is raining heavy. Can save on water this way. :D

Third way (not recommended), drive into a river or swimming pool. Sure got a lot of water leaks one....
