Waaaaaa..My comp. box burN..

my ride E46 318i 99 got a crack water tank ..change t water tank but t temp meter won't go down even engine not hot.when i turn on t key t meter go straight up to t red dot.send t car again for check-up after n change t whole meters few times n its still not functioningleft t car at t workshop and until today WAAAA my mechanic called that t computer box burn..will cost nearly 2k to repair..still wondering why my computer box burn becouse of t meter...ANy sifus Any ideA..thinking to smack down that old mechanic..huhu

kena chop la bro . . . . i'm not very pro on the comp box function but as i know it has nothing to do wit the comp box if ur temp meter got problem. Anyway sure hv other sifus here can help u solve it... GOOD LUCK there !

before burn i see him change all the sensor include t water tank sensor,change t meter 3 times n still not ok.then he said got to check t wiring then left t car still in running condition only t temp meter not workiNG..

AFAIK, the coolant temp signal goes direct to the instrument cluster. Time to source for 2nd opinion from another mechanic.
