VIN on CKD E39 - could this be a fake?

Found CKD E39 in the Jalan Pudu vicinity. However, could not find the VIN, but only found 7 characters (on the suspension mount, driver side), which looks like the last 7 charaters of VIN. The same was shown to me on the photocopied Registration card. .... very dodgy, wouldn't you agree? 1. I believe even CKDs should have the standard 17 characters VIN, correct?2. In case I checked the wrong place, where do you find the VIN on CKD E39? Shouldn't it be at the same place, driver side suspension mount? (btw, anybody selling black E39 525i, 2001 above CKD version?.. with M5 kit? )

the ckd 525i did not come with the sports package only the last batch of the 530i..so most likely if u ever find one with mtech bodykit was fixed by the owner..make sure its an original kit..
