iam never and maybe will not use quad exhause because if refer to my friend which using quad exhause, the2 L turn will effect the flow, thats maybe will increase the pick up, but at high rpm, power will flat. but its just my opinion, anyone which have experience maybe we can share here.

if the flow is less efficient than the original, it makes sense for performance to suffer.

of cource it will suffer, because the additional two L turn after muffler will make resistance to the gas flow. my car, ill just want to change to 330 model only, its bigger and good for air flow.

its a simple physic logic...if the performance of the car is optimise to release the flow via a straight line, modifying it and making it longer, will distort the performance...unless you are driving an M3, etc lah...

not true. With proper tuned and planned setup, a longer exhaust can actually help "scavenge" the exhaust out from engine, thus improve exhaust flow which improve performance

some L turn is inevitable for production car.
Go for Mandrel Bend. Performance lose will be minimum.

any recommended workshop for single to quad transformation (without decrease in performance. LOL)?

dont think you are quite right...the context we are talking is with respect to 2L vs the OEM conventional straight flow with his normal untuned engine...2L would see a decrease in performance vs the OEM...

if the context you are talking with a tuned engine, it would make more sense to have it straight vs 2L for better efficiency.

it doesn't matter if is a tuned engine or not, engine is an engine.
A good exhaust system will benefit any engine, is all about volume & volocity.

Don't understand what you mean by "2L"

bump! no recommendation? hopefully anyone who done it can help..

thanks

To be exact, take dyno test. That is only way to confirm either increase or decrease hp. Logically quad allow more flow to go out resulted in lesser compression. So it should b giving better pick up but no top speed. Depends which do u like, pick up or top end.
