Dear All BMWCM, highly respected forumers, members, administrators, guests, and friends.i need your urgent help in identifying the number plate of a certainvehicle: lorry ( 1 or 1.5 tonne) with red main body, wooden rear with canvas (dark grey).time: 6.55 - 7.05pmdate: today, 17 June 2008location: at the KESAS - MRR2 / Desa Tun Razak intersection (from Tasik Selatan LRT heading towards Desa Tun Razak / Bdr Tun Razak)witness of: the lorry's number platesstory:i was driving down the location mentioned, then from behind a lorry came quickly and within seconds was right at my car's tail. i tried to move out of his way by cutting into the next lane (on my right only). after taking a while, considering the amount of traffic at peak hours, and let the lorry pass. the lorry then overtook me on the left and sped towards the intersection and then stopped right at the intersection. he then proceeded to show me the rude third finger out the lorry's open driver side window. i saw his wife and child inside emotionless. i then got scared and dove off, before i could do so, i saw him getting out of the lorry with a metal rod in his hand and proceeded to chase me. i luckily managed to run away.my plead: to all those who're there, please pm me if you are the witness to the incident. i just need the plates and that's all. all information obtained will be treated with utmost care and privacy.thank you.

why the lorry driver trying to attack u out of sudden? did u :motz: with him before before he stop his car?

My suggestion is to go to the cops and lodge a report. Let the cops look for the witnesses. You can make a report even you don't know the plate number of the lorry.

Anyway, am sorry to hear about this happening to you.

Most important is to report this case to the Police. I am glad you are safe, and very sad Malaysia has turn into this.

there's no provocation involved. i just drove out of the way. i will make a report after speaking to my dad.

this is what malaysia has become, a violent and rude community of lorry drivers

Not worth the effort to report to police.

Similar thing happened to me years ago ... with the notorious BMW ... Bas Mini Wilayah lah... the very last day of their operation. Forgot the actual incident ... but remember waiting for this BMW at the next bust stop and tell off the driver for driving like a mad man, the guy then almost run me down with the bus.

Reported to the police and the inspector reminded me that this was the BMW last day of operation... He also had an encounter with the BMW while riding his Honda Cup ...

Wasted 3 hours in the police station... 12:00 am ~ 3:00 am ... lodged the report ... no update ... till now.

Another incident involving Alam Flora sub-contractor dump truck along the Federal Highway .... tried to talk to the sub-contractor manager but got scolded instead before I can relate the incident ... No wonder their services sucks!

Bus and Lorry drivers ... yeah... not a coveted job, that is why they behave that way... and we do not set a minimum standard for these people.

Thanks once again for highlighting this, i have not lodged a police report but i will mention it over makan to an officer just to let him know.

I'm not sure what you did for him to react that way, but just incase, I suggest everyone carry some sort of weapon of defense incase such people try to provoke you. Sometimes road bullies arn't "so nice". I myself carry a metre long bamboo stick just incase anyone tries to mess with me.

Better have a camera in the car ... any type, vga la, 1.5mp la... so if see anything not right. Just shoot! And talk later. Nowdays, camera can be lethal if use it correctly.

Rule of thumb: when see vehicle approaching fast, move over and let them pass. If they stick to ur tail, put into sport mode and race to the nearest police station.

Warehouse boys stole RM300k worth of aluminum from my company over a period of 2 months. When we realized it, we reported to the police with concrete proof. I think it's been 6 months now and we did not get any updates from the police. One of the warehouse boys is now happily driving a new Suzuki Swift. How great....

Your case is very much similar with mine. I can confirm with you that the police is not doing anything about our report. I have a similar case with my warehouse in Port Klang. Until todate we are not getting any update from the police. Anyway, we did the report is just to facilitate the insurance claim. Not to expect the police to catch the culprits. That's all.

Yeah but the problem is if the police did not complete their investigation, our premium will increase. We did follow up with the Inspector and he told us not to call him anymore. Sigh........
