Unregistered F10 - low mileage but 6 years old

Hi,

Need expert opinion. Shopping for an unregistered F10. Most of it are very low mileage (from Japan), some below 10K, but the manufacturing year is 2011.

Any cons for this kind of car?
1. Stay in warehouse/showroom for so long?
2. Hardly run, i.e. idle for long periods of time?
3. Resale value in the next 2-3 years gonna be bad? since 2nd hand F10s from 2011 are much cheaper.

All these low mileage are plain bullshit. They all have tampered mileage and in actual fact, some of them are very high mileage. Don't get cheated by AP car dealers because my E60 was an AP.
If you buy a recond card, be prepared to fork out some cash for repairs, you'll definitely need it. Re-sale value will be terrible because you're over paying to buy this 6 year old car hence you will end up losing a lot more 2-3 years down the road.

1. Midnight blue - 2011, no sunroof, cream (white) interior.
2. White - 2011. Black interior. But i dont like white colour.

Which I should go for between UK Spec & Japan spec?

Japan spec normally has to comply to their local requirements/regulations, such as:
1. Radio - limited frequency
2. Speed limiter - normally cut off at 180 or 210 km/h
3. Road ERP devices - touch n go like devices integrated into the car
4. DRL - illegal in Japan, but can recode.

So my choice is obvious. UK spec for me, as normally u dont hv to do much extra to make it according to ur preference.

so how did the search went bro?

I spent the whole day last Saturday finding the F10 535i M-Sport.

1. Sentimas, Jalan Gombak. - got one 2012 535i M-Sport, black colour, black interior. During start up and idle, the engine run like misfire for almost 10minutes. The wheels also has been changed from double spoke 351M to i dont know what style (i checked the vin through bmwvin.com).

2. Sri Changgong, Jalan Genting Klang. - the day before (Friday), the salesman said got one unit of 535i. When i reached there, the salesman did not turn up. Another salesman offered to view a unit at other branch which it turn out, Sentimas Jalan Gombak. I quickly told him that i already viewed that car. Haha..

3. Ming Heng, Jalan Genting Klang. - no 535i M-Sport.

4. Jalan Ampang. - went to several dealer i.e Moga Motors, Yamud, a few i cant recall.

5. Pekena nasi kandar Kudu.

6. Wana Motors, Jalan Cheras - no 535i M-Sport

7. Watan Motors

8. Bukit Jalil Auto City - no 535i M-Sport

9. CF Import Auto, Jalan Klang Lama - got two units of 535i M-Sport Japan Spec (both advertised in mudah.my). I am negotiating the alpine white. In fact the salesman called me this morning. Not really keen on this unit since it is Japan Spec and white colour. But i haven't decide yet.

10. Medan Quantum - ask them via phone call. No 535i M-sport. They said they dont bring in that model.

11. Ingress - via phone call.

12. Hamza Motors - via phone call.

Very productive Saturday u had bro zun!! and yes, most of them were the place that i went to when i was looking for a unit myself. As bro anxious has put it, take ur time when finding the one that suits u, preference and price wise. would think u can still nego there prices down, as these dealers' sales are hit quite hard.

the 520d is very torqey. bet u'd hv fun with it. love the push, heck it even has the same torque as a 535, minus the top end power. the diesel guys are getting excellent mileage on their 520d. BMW premium selection on the cards?

Yes 520d is an excellent drive. In U.K. It's the market leader for 5 series.

However our diesel policy makes it impossible for it to be a viable option.
