It has been a while since i last logged in to this website and gosh.. it has such a facelift! i was driving back from work the other day and noticed a nice Blue E92 with 19 inch wheels put on displayed in the showroom... my gosh.. that car was amazing, i dont think the pictures has done any justice to the looks. anyway, that's not the point, i went there the next day to check out the car and it was locked, there were 2 units parked outside for test drive though. A 335i and a 325i. hence i approached them and ask for a run... in my disgust... they dont even look at me as if i am some kid who cant afford a BMW... so i told them, i am a doctor and i am interesting in upgrading my 318ci to that so i can have a go with the test drive... but that trick didnt pay off. he went. well, you really need to be looking at buying the car today before we can let you have a crack.. even then you need to bring all documents and what not... this by far is the worst service i have got for a long time, the mercedes chap on the other side spend 2 hours letting me test different cars without needing my driving license! and that is even when i am at Uni.... am dissapointed and disgusted with the sort of treatment i recieved.

Well i'm in Hong Kong now, and i 've just caught a glimpse of the E92 in real life... 658,000 HKD , gimme one right now...... hahah

You probably saw a Montego Blue 335i with Type 230 wheels...tasty.

Anyways, do they easily entertain off the street test drive enquiries, it was my understanding that UK dealers prefer scheduled test drives for whatever reason. The 335i is one hot potato, awesome car....drives extremely well.

...well it's just one of those quirks salespeople have to put up with & for customers to put up with as well...But as you mentioned

...

...they decided not to entertain your 'trick'...perhaps another dealer might be more inviting...

;)

All the same...lucky you didn't go for a spin in that 335i E92...you will never be happy with your E46 318Ci ever again. Can you say...torque, torque and more torque :D

Just some pics from a meet I co-organized/planned last Sunday. One of the highlights was a private screening of the E92/E90 335i for the group plus liberal test drives :p

P.S. if you ever make it to the DC metro area, give me a buzz...I'll hook you up with a test drive, no tricks required :)

....KL2DC...US specs look outrageously divine no matter what the make of the car...& that 335 is definitely HOT !

...as I understand it, Maine would have the cheapest price to buy a continental car if not in New Hampshire if you were to compare it to Washington DC...

You're referring to the no sales tax states, I think...true you can save quite some change. FYI I live in VA, and I only have to pay 3% sales tax, much better than CA (8% plus) for e.g.

I don't know about US specs looking divine, did you catch that ugly mandatory bicycle amber reflector on the fender? Well, if you're talking about relative pricing, then I'd start to agree with you.... ;)

KL2DC - just a sidetrack - I notice that the tan leather also comes with grey rooflining, even in the US huh?? Looks pretty after-market .....

Yep...regardless of leather color (pictured is saddle/black combo btw), headliner is grey. The ///M anthracite headliner option, as available in the Euro and SA markets as an individual option, is not offered in the US. Btw, the anthracite headliner comes standard in all M-Sport models.
