UK to Malaysia, do i need to change anything?

Hello bros and sifus,need some advise.my e60 523i 05/06 will arrive here(Malaysia) within 3 weeks.Ive bought it in UK using student AP.Just a quick and simple question...d o i need to change anything/engine parts i.e thermostat?Please list them parts for me to change if necessary.Regards,
 
mine also will arrive in 2 weeks..no need to change anything,last time my brother's E60 juz change t oil onLY
 
check if your engine is N53 or N52. FYI N53 on piezo direct injection will requires at least euro4 petrol.
 
ok got it coolant,engine oil only.

so no need to change the thermostat rite?

plate number tender already.

will check on the engine series.

what's the rule actually? Must buy and use the car for 2 yrs or something? and when bring back can change to my name or not?

I am also bringing mine, and also offer a service to bring any cars for anybody interested. Must use two years before can change ownership. But it is wort it 40% cheaper, and better spec compared to those crappy Japan spec
 
The actual rule is that you have to use the car for at least 9 months in the UK, and must be shown on the vehicle logbook (geran kereta) and the insurance.

But throw that out of the window, I personally know a person who bought his car 3 days before returning to Malaysia and got it all settled. Apparently the shipping company can 'pusing' the paperwork. Afterall, we dont shout 'Malaysia Boleh!' for nothing.

You have to wait 2 years before you can change the name. But there's probably ways round this, I'm not sure.
