hey sifus....Just want to know which of the tyre category is best when is comes to handling on dry surface? coz the different categories really confuse me.... they have ultra, max, extreme.... all also sounds very good...and also class 1 tyre... some info i found from another website... http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Michelin/it seems to me that Max PErformance is the best performance tyre... correct me if i am wrong...

Max performance is an overall performance street use, suitable for both dry and wet.

Extreme is for maximum dry traction. When wet, best not do anything more than 40kph. On the track, dry day, use extreme tyre to achieve best lap time.

My front tyre is Max Performance while my rear is Ultra High Performance.. for oversteer set up :p :D

Max performance is for daily use... hm... ok... make sense for daily use... especially with malaysia's climate... hehe... i guess PS3 is the best now.... although i have good experience with RE001... good on dry ... gripping is solid... but wet surface... hehe... below 80km/h is recommended..

now using RE050A RFT... a bit hard....

thanks ya!!

French tyre giant Michelin has launched the company’s latest tyre for the ultra high-performance segment, the Pilot Super Sport, at an event in Dubai. Attending the launch alongside Michelin representatives were spokespeople from Porsche and TÜV SÜD; Michelin said it had “worked closely” alongside the auto manufacturer – as well as with BMW M and Ferrari – in developing the Pilot Super Sport, meeting its “challenging original equipment specifications”, while the testing organisation has recently produced a comparative study of the tyre and its competitors, determining it as “the fastest tyre on the market”.

The Pilot Super Sport will be available from January 2011. The tyre will go on the market priced at the same level as its predecessor, the Pilot Sport 2, an important point of comparison considering the PS2’s more than 200 OE certifications. The Pilot Super Sport achieved a wet braking distance 3m shorter than its predecessor (80-10kmh) in TÜV SÜD tests.

In my opinion the PS3 is over rated and the previous PS2 was a better tire more so on dry tarmac. Having tested both tires extensively on the track, I can safely say the CSC3 is a much better tire with a long more grip. Conti is also launching the CSC5P, and it will be as good if not better than Pilot Super Sport.

Only thing is these tires won't be cheap and the wear rate is high:(

I would also recommend the F1 Eagle Asymmetric for overall usage and F1 Eagle GSD3 for wet handling....

i know the previous poster used one of these on his ///M car...

Hehehe...Goodyear Eagle F1 assymetrical is good, on par with the Pilot Sport and CSCs, only thing is the problem I encountered earlier has came back again :(

Will be paying your office a visit soon.
