I'm wondering if anyone know, especially those on 17', what is the gap (meter or finger) between the tyre and fender on standard springs for E36 328. I just revert back to standard springs and mine is quite high. Feels like driving a rally car. I'm thinking either my springs are the wrong ones, they are defective or thats the normal height. Anyone?

No worry..the spring was not wrong. If u revert back to standard spring the gap between tyre and fender was obvious...rally car :D . especially front one.
Bro 17" with standard spring was damn ugly...put back your eibach lar.

From what i can remember the fronts were something like 3 fingers and the back 1 and a half.

Give it some time as new springs and shocks will take some time to settle down. Mine took 3 months.

Cheers.

Thanks guys. Mont-o, got tired of slowing down and hitting my undercarriage and also have to adjust my cambers all the time. It's eating my inner tyre wall. So I put back my standard springs. I don't mind the 1 finger gap at the back but what bothers me is the front.

Slide, 3 fingers at the front you say? How come mine is 4 1/2 fingers? When I squat down to my fender level, i can see my yellow bilsteins. If this is the standard height, is there any spring and will lower leaving at least 3 or 2 1/2 fingers gap?

Bro i dont encounter any problem on cambers adjustment or inner tyres eating out....me on 18" somemore. You got to find good tyres shop for cambers and toe adjustment.
Undercarriage i do agreed with you..have to slow down whenever i run over hump/bump. But if you on standard spring you also need to slow down isit? :D

Cheers bro.

Funny that when i have lowered my car the camber is off by half a degree but my tires are still wearing evenly. However i have got a set of FabYee Camber plates just to be safe. Will put them on soon and tell you how it goes. However the rears are still out.

As for the ride height, i am afriad that i can't really remember how many fingers exactly. But whats important is that the car is level. You don't want the front to be lower than the rears as this will cause a lot of unncessary grief to your car.

Cheers.

Bro,

This pic. will help you, this pic is with 18" , 17" will be around 4 fingers gab

Thanks guys. Donald your picture really helps, thats exactly the height on my ride, also as mention by mont-o.

Slide, rear cambers can be adjusted as I was told by the tyre shop.

Mont-O, pening laa bro. Want lowered but, with all the bumpy road, balik kampung's dirt road, unusual high road bumps and sometime switching car with my mom. No choice.

Looks like I need an adjustable shocks and install a camber plate if I'm gonna be satisfied.

sorry to hijack crymson,

so donald, is that the normal height?, cos mine is the same too... i thot i was the only UDM pajero..is so, no need to change srings la then...
