Dear Sifus, My 325i e46 is running on 18 inch tyre 235/40/18. Would like to know what is the correct tyre pressure for front and rear.Currently im running 210 in front (30) and 240 at rear (35)Thanks

Check your door card bro ... it should list the recommended pressure for your vehicle. In my personal opinion the safe minimum is 30psi and the safe maximum is 40psi. Fyi my front is on 38psi and my rear is 40 psi it suits me fine but may not suit you ... you have to find what suits you best :D

The door does not show for 18" as it not the "standard" or factory fitted rims.

I think minimum should be at least 32 psi. I was on 30 psi once and have a flat tyre once. But when took it to the tyre shop, there was no leak. The tyre shop says that the tyres have to a minimum pressure to hold or seal the air.

I took a pressure test from ipoh to kl to check on comfort vs grip.

started from ipoh with 33psi front and 35psi rear early in the morning.

It felt harsh in front but theres no complain at rear so I stopped and reduce the front pressure to 32psi, it was much better but I wanted better comfort as rough roads seem to make my car a lil bumpy in the front.

once i reached KL, i reduce another 1psi at front to 31psi......so currently will be testing 31 front, 35 rear.

I'm on 36 front and 38 rear.
30 is definitely way too soft, even 32.
This is about the recommended pressure - check the car handbook.

hmmm, its already been mentioned that the car handbook/owner's manual do not have EIGHTEEN INCH (18) pressure:)

but anyway ive already decided on 31F and 35R as it gives my car more comfort without sacrificing stability.

Thanks guys:)

If you go to Page 25 of the manual, look at the last line on the page where it states that :
" BMW 325i, when 225/40/R18 tyres are fitted (front) specified tyre pressures are higher by 0.2 bar/20kPa/3 psi "

Hi bro,

Then I guess i dont have the manual ure having, cos mine does not state any 18inch in both tyre pressure section and approved tyre section in the manual.

Mind if you tell me how much psi for front and rear is recommended in your manual:) thanks alot in advance.

Regards

Try Front 36psi and Rear 35psi,easy handling, only for rear tyre 245 or 255 only
need to increase rear pressure high!
