GEORGE TOWN: Two men, believed to be members of a luxury car theft syndicate, were arrested in Bukit Mertajam while driving around in a stolen BMW X6 and a BMW five series model worth about RM1milThe two, aged 38 and 43, were arrested by traffic policemen on Monday at 4.30pm after finding the cars to be fitted with false registration numbers.George Town OCPD Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng said the BMW X6, costing nearly RM700,000, was reported stolen two hours earlier from a car wash located at a shopping complex in Gurney Drive.“The two from Johor had threatened to beat up the worker at a car wash if he did not hand over the keys to the car belonging to an executive director of a company.ACP Gan said investigations revealed that the car the robbers came in - a BMW - was reported stolen in SeaPark in Petaling Jaya a few days earlier.
