Transmission problem. Help?

Anyone have any experience with: It's a 328 year 20001) "stall speed, vehicle speed sensor error"2) For example when i stop at the trffic light with D gear, and hold the brake throughout the red light, the gear will go into 3rd gear and stay there until i restart the car.Any idea whats the problem. Thanks for your help

Do you mean that your car goes into 'limp home mode'?
Is there a triangle yellow light appear at your gear indicator?

yes it is limp home mode, but it's a gear sprocket light at the column where D,P,R etc.. should be at. Round. Any idea?

I had gearbox problem just last month. Same thing happened, my car went into limp home mode. Sent it to the workshop for checking and had to refurbish the gearbox.
But it's not nessesarily gearbox problem. It could be battery terminal not connected properly or other problem. Better send to a proper mechanic for checking rather than get stalled.
