Hello everyone. I have a Bmw 530 e60 2004 model.I had Goodyear Eagle NCT originally. It became balding. So I got Continental c/sport 2. This was ok except for the wooooeee noise. Very annoying if the radio is not turn up higher than normal. I think my older NCT was quieter! So now I have to change again. I do not want noisy tyres again. A Sunway shop recomended PS 2 Michelins. I ask him about noise and he said should be the same as the Continental c/sport2. But he is not sure as he never had any of these 2 tyres on the same car. At least he's honest :smokin: What should I do? Can anyone who have them describe the experiences to me?Or should I consider the newer Continental c/sport 3?A car dealer friend told me it is very hard to sell luxury cars if there is too much tyre noise inside the car. Hmmmm

CSC2 is very comfy and quiet when new, and only starts making a lot of noise when about 40-50% worn onwards. I havent tried CSC3, but CSC3 reviews had it as slightly noisier than CSC2 when new.

Energy has used both CSC2 and PS2 and since the most recent PS2 experience, has been converted over from a Conti man to a Mich man lol.

Honestly I don't think you'll go wrong with PS2's for the performance tyre range if your concern is road noise and comfort.

E46F, I notice that you have changed your tyres to PS2. Mind sharing with me how much you got it for both the front and rear and where to get it too. It seems like it's hard to get PS2 stock nowadays.

I got them from Ah Meng in Speedline Sunway Damansara. Fronts were good and a few places he called had stock Rm975 each. However, rears were a hard find and only 1 supplier he called had them which cost RM1300 each. I went to Lim Tayar before that in TDDI and no stock of both PS2 in my size. They are quite high in demand and short in supply.

Yeah, I know Speedline's boss Ah Hoong too. He has been helping me to get PS2 with the same size like yours. His offer to me is RM 850 for front and RM 1,000 for rear. According to him, this is the price if he gets it directly from Michelin. If thru another supplier, the price will be higher. I just called him again yesterday and he told me still no stock.

Wah thats really cheap. They were willing to trade in my Toyo T1Rs as well, and I got RM400+ for each tyre. Lim Tayar was offering me only Rm40 each for the tyres!

DY, so you're also restarting your love affair with the PS2's again? :D

They make a world of difference since I swapped back to them for my E90. So lovely to drive now hehe.

Wow, you got a good trade-in price for your Toyo tyres.

After changing my rims, I have also changed the tyres to Falken 452 because I can't get PS2 during that time. Now.... you are absolutely right that I still love PS2 so much and is thinking to switch back to PS2.

Ah Hoong asked me to try out Falken 912 which is the latest according to him. Not sure if this is good but my heart is still with PS2.

How do you find the FK452's vs. the PS2's? Are your FK452 Japan made ones? I believe the FK 452 is the top end performance Falken tyre, and much better than the ZE 912's (tom yam made) heh.

FK452 is a top performance Falken tyre. Works well in both wet and dry situation. Remember my case of near miss situation when traveling back Ipoh, I was on these tyres and it really proved that it is a good tyres.

However it is a bit of noisy as compare to PS2. And also a bit hard too. The noise is annoying me. Some of my friends who are using FK452 give good comment and have no problem with it. It could be just me that who have been pampered with PS2 before that can feel the differences.

Consistent with my spin experience in my frens GTi on the FK452s. The grip was quite impressive, but noise and comfort was ok only... Its not very noisy, and harsh but no where in the same league of PS2s hehe.

i beg to differ !

I drove my brother's car who had michelin pilot sport 2 fitted at quicksave, sunway. before he had pirelli rosso. now his car is jumpy. not good driving over non-level road! where got comfy man?
but my brother also change his springs to bilstein. do not know whether this have affected or not.
i am driving my own car with continetal sport 2. quite happy except noisy. i only clocked 1500km. i can't imagine how noisy it will get in the next 6 moths.
