Note on what to do when u see a crash helmet in the middle of the road. Workarounds :):1) Lower your ride and have aero body kits which will sweep off these helmets off the road instead of getting them lodged under your car 2) Get a high riding 4WD which has enough clearance to pass a helmet on the road. The Rempit Menace

Funny you should mention this. Last Fri (08/12/06) night i thought i hit a pot hole or something and punctured a tyre cos i heard lots of scraping sound right after a hard bump. This was along a recently constructed overhead bridge along Jln Duta (near the govt offices, stadium, etc). On getting down to inspect (making sure it was safe for me to do so - safe means that i wont be trapped in case it was an ill-intentioned incident), it was a helmet lodged under my car. Couldnt get it out so i just drove with it scraping along for a while before it worked itself loose and dropped off after a few hundred metres. Unlikely to have suffered any damage but i'll bring it in for a check this weekend. Maybe some mat rempit died, but what do i care....

Back to your options:
I'd prefer to go the X5 way. With all the bad roads, pot holes and flash floods in this 3rd world country, it just makes sense.

if it is ARAI, SHOEI or BELL - stop and pick it up ..:D
if it is Apollo, AGV - will drive around it - not worth the ori bodykit.. :D

but seriously - i hv come across helmets on the road - twice ! Both coming down fr Hartamas heading towards Kiara .. Was once caught in a 'Rempit Convoy' complete with the lighted red baton ! Easy - 50+ bikes ... at 2:00 AM !!

These mamat rempits are often on the hartamas-kiara road, i once witnessed two young girls in a kancil being harrassed in the middle lane of the 3 lane road at 2am. All i did was just move along using the extreme right lane and alerted the rakan-kopi.
