Sue, sorry to hear about your predicament...glad you shared it with us all. :top:

Since what is done is done....for those of you who are thinking of getting your interior done up, i suggest you give Carbi-deco a try. They're located in Puchong next to Tesco. Person to look for is Jason. I can vouch for their service and workmanship. Did my roof fabric upholstery there.

cheers.

jus to add pricing as i'm staying nearby and was looking to do my e30 interior, for carbi-deco...not dk if any were pondering
price based on my coupe quoted within a week back

front seat = rm2600 / pair
rear = rm1600 (cant really remember, should be around there)
floor carpet = rm800
roof mat = rm600

price is the same if i do all at one go or separately
PiC, cant remember as its out of my budget currently
but as they only use leather and the stiching is quite good
price is justify-able imo

Now that someone has had a bad experience, i shall add mine,
I had a similair bad experience when doing my classic citroen seats, basically the workers dont give a damn, the sales person will promise you the rainbow.....

they had to remove the leather 3 times from both front and rear seats before i was satisfied, even then, the rear seats had a defect that they insisted it was the same as the original seats.....

there were also some broken clips, and missing joints , i had to practically turn their workshop upside down looking for those joints and clips, btw, they also screwed up the alignmnet of the adjsters, i had to take it all apart and fix it back again

anyone thinking of going to DK leather, DONT GO, enuff said......

Golly, that sounds REAL BAD right there. Penang branch i assume ?

U musy be talking about ah chooi, an elderly bespactecled man? His workmanship is good and quite cheap. Had my b-pillar rewrapped by him for less than rm100.[/QUO

Ah Seng. Ah Chooi is another fella.

nope KL branch, seems the quality of service and workmanship is taking a real bad dive for these people, they only survive with OEM orders

Erica, you seem to know Penang well. Yes it is located along Perak Road in Penang and it is just off the main road. i could show your friend there, should both our time permit, his and mine. could probably get him similar rates from this elderly gentleman who shares a workshop with a mechanic. good material and workmanship considering the price.

hi there bro,

Nice meeting u here.

the one mentioned is a small lane named LORONG SEREMBAN beisde "SPEEDWORK" and the gentleman name is "Ah Chooi" rite?

based on pricing from munk3ong it appears carbi is in the lucky league unless the quoted price was for some fancy leather. e30 front and rear seat only already rm3200 vs the rm2500 dk charged mr lawyer's e39 front seats, rear seats and 4 door panels.

I got this quote from HPS [ based in Sunway, distributor for Recaros locally ], RM 4.8k to RM 6k for Alcantara wrap : rear seats, rear side panels, gear + handbrake gaiter, front door panels [ not sure whether it includes the front seats ], price given was also depends on what Alcantara material chosen [ which as far as I understand, there's only one type of Alcantara by Toray / Alcantara Inc ]. Quote was for a coupe.
