cool.... do you mind sharing with us the price... and where to get it done?
got myth that after a few years... the vkool color changes due to the metallic particle starts to "rust" or something. have u encountered that before?

which vkool u using leh? vkool 70?

I order together when i take the car out from the showroom. not really sure where they get it fix but sure got all those certificate of warranty then. I think i got it about RM2000 for my E46. I dont have those issue with my Vkool (eLite) in all my cars. everything is fine so far.

i think vkool and raybarrier is worth the money coz i heard alot of good review on these tints, but its expensive

sesat88, I'm using Vkool70 for the front and Vkool40 for sides and rear... only one word to describe... cool! Note that Vkool40 will allow only 43% transmission of light, that's a few percent off the 50% required by JPJ.

The thread on my re-tinting is here, you can find more info there... http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10924

Wah... so brave! If i go for v-kool, i get the VKool 70 all around la.
Too many samans to settle these days liao...

Ya i read your thread (actually read too many threads and postings)... I think I posioned myself liao...

raybarrier is from ecotint, one of their their high end tint

sesat88, RM1.8k quote is from the Vkool authorised installer here in Penang. I was told the pre-mid January price was RM1.6k, it went up RM200 all round (both Vkool70 and 40), I missed the boat...

sesat88, read all about V-kool70 and 40 here...

http://www.v-kool.com/solitaire.html

Visible light is on a different (shorter) wavelength than infra red. V-kool blocks out more infra red than visible light, if you compare V-kool with other cheaper tints, you will find that, for the same amount of visible light transmission, the cheaper tints cannot block as much infra red, that's where the difference is. The end result is V-kool allows the same amount of light through but blocks much more infra red, giving a cooler car interior.

cheers bro. Looks like Vkool is the only cool tint to go for at this moment.

I was using V cool previously and had no problems with my smart tag. Is the newer type so don't know if that would make a difference.

No lah, BS only! I use V-kool on my 2 cars, 3 years and 5 years old. Although I hold my Smart Tag on top of the steering wheel also no problem! Don't know who started that story.

that means you got the imitation vkool...kekekkeke. I dunno abt now but i was told by the vkool people b4 sometime back if smart tag can use then its not vkool.

Interesting piece of news, never tried out Smart Tag yet with my 1+month old V-kool... but the tint dealer did mumble something about able to use Smart Tag on the new V-kools...

Well which dealer were you talking to? I personally did my tinting at V-Kool (M) Sdn Bhd itself because I don't trust the salesmen. I think you're the one who talk to an imitator leh...

BTW, it's V-Kool, not vkool.

Why don't try it tomorrow and tell us can use or not?
