I recently bought complete terra springs for e30 from a forum member and I was wondering can this springs be used with Bilstein HD or must they be used with bilstein Sport??? Your 2 cents sought. :)

use bilstein sport le dude,

normal absorber will damage by the lower sport spring as the absorber piston rod oscillating too frequence....

this is just my opinion....

Terra Springs are LOW! I would suggest you get a set of short-stroke KONIs from Hokomoto Racing in Batu Caves. The last time I checked, short-stroke Bilsteins aren't available in Malaysia.

Bro Kev, ( & Renzs)

You drove my car when it was with Terra......I can say it's slightly lower than the H&R I have now....but only just. ( difference less 1 inch )

In regards to short stroke - I dun know but it physically fitted onto my Boge Gas earlier. Of course, I will always recommend a FIRMER absorber for this spring.

If you need Koni's, they are available at HOKOMOTO ( Batu Caves KL ) as mentioned. The adjustable were going for RM1800. Kevster knows the owner very well - so you know who to tabik here ok....
for a good $$$.

Bro Renzs, try buy in SG-lah......heard it's possibly cheaper there.

Dude ...

Go for the sport shocks ie KONI or BILSTEIN SPORT or SPRINT.

HD abs will not last that long .. but it depends on ur driving oso ..

If u ony makan angin maybe it will last longer ..

For the record, my TERRA with brand new BOGE gas lasted 2 weeks ony ...
I throw away the springs (stupid ?) thinking it was too hard ..

Lets get this clear....it CAN be used with bilstein hd (if you mean bilstein blacks)....it CAN also be used with Boge turbogas....it CAN also be used with stock shocks if you want .....BUT....this set up may not be ideal....in other words : you can do better by pairing them with short stroke shocks aka sport shocks :)

brand? its your money dude.....bilsteins are cool....konis are cool too - check this link out http://www.bmwcca.org/Roundel/2004/05/Article_2.shtml about halfway down the page..... also cool would be titan's (locally developed)......hotbits......did i say bilsteins are cool?.....somehow bilsteins are right for bmw......germans bits for german car......

Koni sports adjustable cost sgd$489 front and back for E30 4cyl. Get it at Selegie Spare Parts, Singapore. I just got one set and they left 1 set only, they just brought in 2 sets for e30 4cyl this month. For 6cyl i think they still have a few sets available. Spring's i don't think you can get them right now, i manage to get Merwede lowering springs for SGD$180 from Fong Kim Exhaust and thats the last set left. Was running around whole singapore trying to get Eibachs Pro kit (quoted $480 from 1 source but must order cause no stock). Selegie spare parts brought in vogtland but available for 6cyl, 4 cyl not available so must order. Vogtland springs SGD$160-180 quoted from selegie spare parts. Last enquired for bilstein sports B8 from Eng Soon, left 1 pair front for e30 318IS, think it fits 6cyl strut only. Heard they are not bringing in any more sports suspension etc for E30s.
