slightly OT but related to telekom

Yesterday got letter from TM. They say that since they amalgamated their telephone and streamyx bills, the two billing dates are out of sync, and to bring up to date have to pay 2X streamyx bill in the next bill.

Anyone else got this notification?

For RM66 a month with unlimited bandwidth, even at outer Metro or rural area, I think the rate is one of the cheapest in the world.
Yes, the speed is not extremely fast. But how much more you are willing to pay ?

I'm just doin my best but TM is too big & is out of control. Always reorg & restructuring. Everytime change CEO change policy. If anyone got prob wt streamyx just terminate, there many option in mkt. Yup to maintain the infra its not cheap. The crook steal the copper cable, TM loss. In fact TM is not monopoly the market as we allow other telco/VOIP to use our infra/last mile yet we dun earn any revenue except the small rental. I'm sure many of your company use VOIP/cost saving to call out rite but still using TM infra but only use TM for receiving calls. Nobody is perfect so does TM. They annouced profit but its not due to higher revenue but collection.Even if revenue increase our bonus remains same at 1 to 2 mths. Aiyah I want to go back to my previous job that give 6 mths bonus:stupid:. My next budget increase to RM14mill even at current market slow down:stupid: Aiyah what I'm still grumbling here, got 4 weekly report to prepare. Anyway my apology to everyone for any inconvenience:love:

Bro, Its called single billing but sometime got problem the system could not match the tel & streamyx bill where u didn't receive the bill. For all streamyx users its not advisable to print the bill online. Now its combine in tel bill, its better to go to any TMPoint for clarification & checking of yr account to avoid service interruption:top:

No problem with single billing but will have to go in to verify as there may be some discrepancy. Anyone else got this should check carefully and ask for clarification from TM.

Yes.. Lease line is the way to go if you are having your own server.. Not cheap though..

Change service if you feel that your ISP is not up to par.. Honestly, most of your traffic will eventually goes
"back" thru the one MAIN ISP.

I used IDM ( Internet Download Manager) which manage and most of time will use my entire bandwidth I subscribe from Streamyx about 1Mbps without fail. Like i said sometimes it allow a litttle bit more than 1Mbps ......luxury.

There you go. Don't be lazy because what is being done here is like people sending or forwarding email to defame competitors.
I am not defending TM. They have lots to improve but it does not help when the regulator does not understand the difference between commercial and social. I can't divulge much on this matter but I hope readers would do a little bit more research. No need to be emotional.

To me it is simple, you don't like one's service, change. You got complaints, go to the regulator. But don't just complain about one service provider, complain about the non-existence of other service providers too. That's all from me now.

Next time got any type of discussion, please make sure to include other references as well. Or else it won't be fair..right? If you look through vincentchow.net you'd realize that he has numerous complaints about TMNet as well.

I'm pretty sure when people complain about their Protons, they mean other makes and models as well.

By the way, those of you who are saying "Don't like, then change la" need to realize that TMNet is the only option for a lot of people out there. It's not as simple as just picking up the phone and calling some ISP asking them to churn the service for you.

And no, TMNet pricing is no where near being one of the cheapest in the world.

Since so many people don't really want to discuss this subject...then let's just leave it as it is.

Btw bro, the change has to start somewhere. Good luck with your fight to make TM a better place.
 
the problem is in here it is about one company, when there are other service providers.
The same goes with Proton or other matters. You can argue til cows fly but it is difficult to change.

There ARE people working hard to make these things change but making a complaint in this forum will not change anything.

I suggest complain to the right channel. For example: MCMC, newspapers, or if you like for certain issues related to govt service to the KSN himself. BTW, his email address is sidek@pmo.gov.my. He will respond within 24 hours.

Many people like to complain. However, when they experience good service or good products, how often do you see them giving compliments? I am not justifying for the screw-ups, let-ups or even pure laziness but to change people's mindset is not easy. Especially when you are dealing with unions, contractual bonus vs performance based bonus, etc.

I can tell that some of the BMWCM members are having day jobs where they are high caliber professionals or focal point experts in their field of interest.

So I trust when these guys are explaining something here that's to do with their professional trade, they are relating the true situation. Of course there is a limitation on how much they can say online. Words just don't shoot out of their mouth for nothing.
