Steering lock issue: How do I get this part out?

Hi guys, While diagnosing a problem, I managed to get my steering locked. I can't unlock it no matter how much I jiggle the steering. After following the guide in this video, I decided to open up the steering assembly. Anyone know how to get this red part out (center of picture):

Edit: I think the red plastic housing is friction welded to the metal steering housing.

Bro, the key can't unlock it? I was thinking that it would be hard to release the lock without the key, the whole key assembly is usually assembled one-way (not meant to be undone).

Ok I solved this. The red dot u see in the picture is actually wax-like material covering the screws... just scrape it off and you can see the screws. Now proceeding to unlock my steering column

UPDATE 2: Steering wheel locked but I drilled a hole to get the steering lock pin out
