I'm not sure I'm asking the right question or not (since I'm totally noob in BMW technology) but let me just give a shot...

I having a problem connecting the iDrive with BMW Connected apps in iPhone, even using Original Lightning cable, the apps failed to detect the car and keep trying (I reinstall the apps a few times, but same problem still occurred)

But so far, the phone and iDrive work perfectly with Bluetooth connection, it just not with the cable (more function can be use if using cable right?)

Which model is your BMW? Does your iDrive support BMW Apps? If your iDrive don't come with BMW Apps then having the BMW Connected app in your iPhone is useless.

You will see it in iDrive if your car comes with it. Just explore your iDrive menu and you should be able to find it. Alternatively just go back to your dealer and get them to verify.

Btw, I read a few forums said I need 6NR configuration in order to use the ConnectedDrive.

My car have ConnectedDrive menu, no BMW Apps inside.

How to check whether I have the 6NR configuration and make it work with my iPhone?

Mine MN/TN-002.033.002

Downloaded the latest update version in www.bmw.com/update, but when I plug in the usb and try to upgrade, it said no compatible update in the usb...

The question is, each update dedicated to different model of car?

Yes bro different model different update hence the reason why they ask you for VIN before you download...

That why I'm confused, I entered my vin numbers and download the update for my car, but when I plug in and try to update, it said no compatible update in the usb.

Hmmm weird, I didn't encounter that issue when I put my update into my usb drive and then plug it into my car...it auto detects the update and installs it. If you really need to update your system I suggest you pop by your fav dealer for them to check on the issue.
