 had my car sent to Granpire to do some spoiler work there.was promised 3days for all the work to be done but in the end it took them almost 2weeks!! fine..when i finally got back the car i found that some work was not done although i did emphasize the thing expressively..after almost 2weeks remember..finenext morning(which happens to be this morning),i woke up to wash the car as it was so dirty with FBG dust everywhere including inside the car.hey presto!! when i tried to start the car,it just went quiet..hmmm,strange?!!!?opened the boot to have a look at the battery and found that the battery resembles nothing like mine.my battery is the no maint type with the indicator window to show state of charge and this one had none!!!!! damn blardy bast.rds!!! i don't know who did it but i am pissed!!!where do i find a BMW battery in Sepang on a sunday morning!!! and i need to send my wife and kids balik kampung to penang!!! goddamnit!!!i tried to call one of the guys from Granpire and as expected no answer..so now i gotta go find a place where they sell these batteries and fork out my own money to get one..its sunday for gods sake!!! I AM PISSED!!!!

Sorry to hear this bro. You should go back and hammer Grandpire.

But, any battery with similar capacity can do the same job. At least it will tie you over the holidays. I dont beleive that there is such a thing as a BMW battery. Go to any large petrol station they sell some stock of batery or try AAM.

I dont know about sepand but my tyre and battery shop in SJ is open 7days a week.

thanx bro..i'm going to shah alam and SJ now to look for them.got some things to do there too so might as well..good thing i have another car though, kelisa.still pissed!!!

Don't mean to alarm you, but it seems to me if they can take something as easy to spot as a battery, then in 2 weeks i am sure they could have removed something else.

You'd better check everything over.

SERIOUS??!! i am shocked!! i better go check mine!! go there and tiau the fella kaw2..

i feel guilty i recommended u granpire and let u go thru this ordeal.. sorry bro..

 those scoundrels!! :aggressive: damn... hope everything is sorted out bro. sorry to hear about this.

ya, agree with Slide. better check ur whole car. maybe can also send it to ur mechanic. he would be able to tell u what's missing and what's not, if he's familiar with ur car.

anyway, might be too late, but in future, if u have AAM membership, they have batt, even the maintenance free ones. discounted prices too.

non-branded ones though. but, in emergencies, this comes in handy.

if u don't have AAM membership, time to get one.

bmw2002,i'm looking for the AAM membership form.seems like a good idea to join up..thanx for the idea.actually wanted to be a member but never got round to it..
ya bro... u won't have anything to lose but all to gain with memberships like that.

Free towing service within the respective states... 'rescue' services like for batts and stuff.

only RM60 a year. go for it dude!

For whatever reasons, I've always had doubts over Grandpire
With all due respect to anyone here who's engaged their services.
Go for the original spoiler lah bro. I reckon yr UDM is worth forking out the mullahs. ;)

guys..

even though u don't have the AAM membership, you can still call them and subscribe on the spot......or pay the labour and cost of the battery...

same goes to expired card....you can call them and renew on the spot when they come to serve you...

anyway....try call them...maybe can do subscription vis phone with credit card...

this is the number:

1-800-88-0808

03-21610808

Both 24 hours.....

Another thing is if u have J-card you can also ask for discount....seen it yesterday in the JJ magazine...

Supergrip's.... sorry to hear about yr predicament. The f%$ker who took the batt was probably counting on fact u wont notice until sunday by which time no one around etc. and deparaya around corner summore.....

Anyways, just FYI, in my area there are a few tire shops (who do batteries as well :) ) open on Sunday - same row as Brother Peter. They also open late on weekdays - till about 8 or something which is useful if u have an emergency situation. Just a thot....

Sorry to hear abt what happened Supergripen ..btr lodge a police report agt Granpire that will get their attention... :D

Sorry to hear your mishap bro...!!!!!!

IMHO you should go back there and tiaw them kaw kaw ..

just holla if ya need help...

cheers mate

Have a safe journey balik kampung ...

Sorry to hear about your predicament, dude. Far as I can recall, dis da 2nd time in forum someone post complain about Grandpire. Take care guys.
Battery went weak dis morning. Called AAM & van came to my doorstep in 30mins. Changed my 3.5 yr old AAM DIN66 to a new AAM Maint.Free DIN66 for RM240, charged to credit card & got bonus pts too. :D

Sorry to hear about your loss, bro.
Hope you got things sorted out fine before your balik kampung trip.

This convinced me that I should renew my AAM membership too just
in case.....Thanks dude.

:) thanx guys for all ur concerns..got the battery changed yesterday and the car now runs fine.only thing left to do is to reset the car's computer..

the guy from granpire called me back yesterday after some tiow'ing and he sounds very apologetic and surprised..well,no use ain't it?? its not so much the money the pissed me off but more the trouble it had caused me.

well,u learn from ur experiences and be that much wiser..if not,the whole episode wud be in vain wudn't it?? on the subject of the bodykit that i had fitted from them, they seem pretty good other than a small but ungainly gap at the rear mtech2 bumper (and also the front original mtech2 bumper but that's another story)..paintjob was only average(done by Nitro)and i wudn't go back there as they have this cincai attitude towards their job.what a waste..

once again guys, thanx for the concerns.... cheers!!
