my battery dead

Hi guys, my battery is dead and need to be replace... This is the 1st time I would like to replace my battery after own this car.. So I ask about my battery type is Din66L.. The salesperson told me the price around RM 400+... I was shock that so expensive... So guys I want to replace the cheapest one.. But the specification for the battery I dunno how to see... I want a free maintainance one... Last time I got buy a battery for the van... rm 200 only.. So my buget will be rm 200... So any of you guys replace your battery using the cheapest one? Your help will have my thanks...

Hi max...price for din66 shud be around that range, i changed mine at about rm460 for a 88din. Battery from century.

what the different between expensive vs cheapo one? rm200 feee maintainance i got for change the company battery... mini van... got other shop sell for rm 180 free maintainance one... but lazy go far to buy it.. so buy the 200 one... i do some reserch about the batter for e34.. some say need to see the CCA and AH... I dunno what was that things... Is it need to follow that spec or just buy battery that fit my battery bay and battery socket...

DIN 66 should be around RM300-400 for a decent brand. Imported/prestige brands such as Delkor, Varta etc etc is almost double the price

If budget permits, I would suggest you get a better battery instead of the cheapest one. Reliability is one aspect that you have to consider besides the price.

Hey guys... So finally I got my battery today... Been around my place to find the battery... Lucky I lived near almost AutoWorld here, the place to find Auto Part and Accessories. But i dunno if the brand is a good one.. But had to buy it...

Trade with my old faulty battery so I got Free Maintenance for RM 260 for wet type is RM 220.. So I choose for Free Maintenance..

Good battery is not cheap. Example for DIN 88 or 100 they could cost you between RM500 - RM650

There are just too many fakes out there in the market. Best bet is to visit a known battery specialist. These guys can tell the difference of a fake or an original of two batteries with the same external sticker.

Ever wonder why paper lama guys collect/buy our old useless batteries?

BTW BMW's need good strong battery to start and run well. If I am not mistaken it also contribute to better fuel consumption too.

Oh Icic... I dunno that... never replace car battery before... What I know we need to look our Alternator, how much amp its produce... so what I found from doing some research the E34 need AH such as 65 AH, 70 AH, 80 AH, and for CCA is 880.. So the battery I buy just follow the current battery that I used before this... about battery brand and fake or ori.. no nothing bout that... haha..
