Some parts question in e39 before i start DIY

Can i still drive the car if the aux fan failed to rotate now? The aux fan failed to move at all even i switch on the ac in hot day.

I have to drive 100km from my current location to workshop, otherwise have to tow. What is the damage to my car if i drive the car without a working aux fan?

You can still drive when aux fan not working but switch-off the air-con to prevent overheat. Possible damage: engine block crack, other internal parts crack and the list goes on.

Even if i can maintain the temperature gauge in half?

Yes, temp gauge 1/2 is normal. To be safe, just switch off the air-con. The clutch fan will keep the engine within the operating temp.

Where is the fuse #75 and #76 for aux fan located? I can not find inside the glove box. Even i check in the E box under the a/c filter housing also no see. Can anyone point it out which one is aux fan relay?

This is how the cable tight in the E box:

Under the yellow circle still have 5 relay, which one is the aux fan relay? How to check? I can only see the top right pink color one is ABS relay.

remove the connector and find the ground wire - shud be brown kaler.short the other 2 wires,one at a time,to this brown wire.one shud be lo speed and the other,hi speed.

Bro, i try this afternoon to check the fan motor..no moving at all the aux fan.

Check by mechanic and confirm the aux fan gone. Instead of changing the whole aux fan, where to buy the aux fan motor here? The price for the whole aux fan and the motor alone is big different.

Aux fan motor (Siemens) not available in M'sia. If you just replaced the aux motor, your current plastic plates may already be brittle and may crack later on. Suggest you replaced complete set of new ori aux fan (with bmw logo @ RM 1,450.00). Don't buy the cheaper aux fan (Taiwan made) as it does not last.
