Have you tried those kereta potong shops bro? I know it's rare to get parts for older models, but you can try. What's your budget for resto works? If permissible, I suppose you could get some decent donor cars to salvage parts from.

for now, i already search for half cut at segambut, taman bolton and rawang..still not found any part for my car, maybe i'll search at ampang..

hey bro.. there's one e28 lying down in my friend's work shop. maybe it might help u....

Or maybe can try to contact CSS spare part shop at Jalan Ipoh, he is driving an E28, and he is selling BMW parts....Good Luck!!!

Because of your point No# 1, you should forget the whole thing. Rust cannot be fixed.

Kevster's right. I almost forgotten about that 1st point you made bro. Rust is the number one killer of cars. I doubt sandblasting would be able to help. It's hard when you're eager to restore the car, but if the rusting is bad, I'm afraid there's nothing much you can do to salvage it.

sorry guys, maybe i gave a wrong definition for point #1..
how can i explain it? aiyoyo..sorry la, i not so good in english..can i explain it in malay? yang teruk skang nie bukan total body, cuma bawah body tue kan ada 2 batang chassis tue..benda tue la yang nk kne tukar, pomen cakap takut body kiat je nnt..that is the real problem of that car now..thanks..

i hate to say this but i have to. Ooo pandai, yg u jual kereta ade karat & lubang2 kat arch belakang belah kiri and sikit2 dekat boot and sikit2 everywhere else tu pasal ape, by the way thread starter, the car i bought from kevster also the chassis "2 batang" that u said, mine is quite bad also

cheers kev, no heart feelings

That the most important part on the car body.
It is called chassis:

The rectangular, usually steel frame, supported on springs and attached to the axles, that holds the body and motor of an automotive vehicle.

Rust on this is very serious indeed. But please do more research. If you are able to get to this forum, you can also get to other information on the net.

Good Luck. You will need a lot of patience and money ...

if you really like e28s....u could find one with a better chassis and body condition..maybe consider using ur current chassis for spare parts...i think that would be a much cheaper way to proceed...no point in trying to fix a rust bucket...then again...i would also advise to really do some research and consider what you are doing....it is very very hard to restore an e28 currently...parts are hard to get...some parts u can't find at all...even if they exist...it would be very expensive...however if u are really determined to proceed with this project...i strongly suggest u find an e28 in good condition...and transfer whatever parts u can salvage from ur current car into the new one....then be prepared to spend alot for a decent restoration...at least 20 to 30k...depending on the condition...but realistically a proper job would cost closer to 40-50k...especially if ur doing a full overhaul or replacing the engine.

chassis problem?

i'm driving e21.the same problem happened to mine.but i've restore the floor, firewall enigne bay & chassis.the work look nice.my mech send it over for restoration.it cost me less than 4k.
