Folding mirrors are not that important beemerx. I've only used mine once, just to test that they worked when I got the car. :D Folding in your mirrors when parked only invites cars and motorbikes to squeeze past or park even closer. I prefer to have them sticking out so they have to keep their distance. Side mirrors are plastic protection, like bumpers.

The feature to retrofit would be the tilting passenger mirror when engaging reverse. Now that's a really useful feature and allows you to side park accurately without any chance of scuffing your wheels and tyres. :top:

Seconded. If you put Enjoying your ride, Tilting Passenger Side Mirror and Folding Side Mirrors together and ask me to rate them for fulfillment of purpose, I would throw out Folding Mirrors.

Tak semua E46 ade folding mirrors lah. Aku punya CKD 318 takde.

For the E90 and E46 it is available only on the higher models (6 Cylinders) CKD or as an optional equipment for CBU.
For the E90 LCI is is standard across all models.

Thanks bro Schwepps... it makes sense what you're saying about the folding mirror.. people just tend to try and squeeze thru the tight spot since the side mirrors are folded up... better the mirror gets scratched a bit than the body works right? Appreciate the tip bro...

Btw, any idea how much it would cost to retrofit the tilting side mirror function when reversing? Think it's gonna burn a asteroid crater hole in my wallet?

i normally fold the side mirror when i park parralel by the road side, u never know when the mat rempit misjudge their distant

Better for the mirror to get scratched rather than the door.

Think of your own reactions: would you tend to double park or side park next to a car with folded mirrors or jutting mirrors? Better to get the mirrors knocked than the doors dinked.

Try asking the dealers about the reversing tilt function. You never know, it might be only a software upgrade as there are no additional motors or sensors required. No harm trying.

Bro,

Your 11 months E90 320 should have the tilting pax side mirror.

What you are missing is the folding mirror and if it is not available on your car, it is a costly option to fit. But enquire anyway.

my E90 LCI has the button for folding, so would the GC's M3 side mirror be operational as well?
