Hi I would like to seek advise to all the sifu's in this thread.I currently have an E30 318(m) 1991 for 5 years and am loving every second of it.Am contemplating on doing a full resto to the car to give her new life =D.Am planning an engine swap to an M52 power plant preferbly the 2.8 variant. Will this be possible to register with JPJ?Please advise reputable workshops that can do the above and also reccomended place for paintjob too...Thanks heaps in advance.

If there's a choice, go for M54. 2.5 also good enough. a lot more responsive then M50 or M52.

But from heresay and some workshops they have told me that the M54 which is from the E46. Tends hv numerous overheating issues is that true?
And will the M54 fit into the E30 engine bay?
If the above are all good, yeah than it would be a better choise nearly same power and a smaller engine =D
